Philip and Nicole Steen, the dynamic duo behind successful hometown brands Nashville Sports Leagues and Nashville Cake Pops, now build on their decades of operational experience in the local small business community with the launch of Urban Flip – A Property Management and Investment company.
Philip Steen, originally from Findlay, OH, moved to Nashville in 1999 and brings his formidable experience as a serial entrepreneur and owner/operator in the sport and social industry to the new property management venture. On any given day in the Spring and Fall season, 5,000 players on 450 teams can be found participating in 10 different sports at 12+ locations around the city — all professionally managed and organized by the small staff at Nashville Sports Leagues.
Nicole Steen, a native of Neptune, NJ, moved to Nashville in 2001 after traveling the country implementing sales programs in the restaurant and bar industry. An early adopter in the cake pop trend, Nicole founded the beloved Nashville Cake Pops brand in 2011, selling over 15,000 of the creative confectionary treats before closing the business in 2013 and joining Philip at Nashville Sports Leagues as Director of Operations.
In 2016, following explosive growth in the local housing market, Philip and Nicole purchased their first investment property, in the process identifying yet another opportunity to serve the Nashville community. With Urban Flip, the Steen’s excitedly embark on their newest venture to increase the quality of life for Nashville residents, both new and established, with their unique brand of practical business acumen.
When not selecting great color schemes for rental properties or asking smart questions for investment opportunities, Philip and Nicole enjoy spending time outdoors with their dogs Phelix and Winston or escaping to the beaches of 30A on Florida’s Emerald Coast.
